NORTH SYDNEY, AU / ACCESS Newswire / August 6, 2026 / Healthcare providers across Australia and New Zealand have named the top-performing vendors in 19 healthcare information technology categories in Black Book Research’s new Australia & New Zealand Healthcare Information Technology: 2027 Provider Market Outlook.
The rankings draw on qualified evaluations from 684 provider-side participants; 536 in Australia and 148 in New Zealand spanning healthcare executive, clinical, informatics, operational, financial, risk and technical roles. Each category was measured against 18 market-specific performance indicators, with a minimum of 10 qualified provider evaluations required for ranked inclusion.
Black Book’s findings signal a decisive change in provider expectations. Australia and New Zealand healthcare buyers are placing less weight on feature breadth and pilot demonstrations and more on local delivery capacity, production reliability, open integration, regulatory fitness, cyber recovery and measurable work removal.

Solventum recorded the highest category score at 9.82, followed by HotDoc at 9.77 and Best Practice Software at 9.76. Telstra Health led three categories, Microsoft-branded solutions led three, and Oracle-branded solutions led two.
The results represent category-specific provider ratings and do not constitute a single overall vendor ranking.
Readiness Data Shows Why Provider Expectations Are Rising
The 2027 outlook is reinforced by Black Book’s separate 228-respondent Australian Share-by-Default readiness study:
