Shake Shack Deepens Latin America Presence with Planned Entry Into Brazil

Shake Shack Inc. (“Shake Shack” or the “Company”) (NYSE: SHAK) is continuing to build momentum across Latin America with plans to enter Brazil through a new licensing partnership with Bold Hospitality Company. Following seven years of growth in Mexico and the brand’s upcoming entry into Panama, Brazil represents the next significant step in Shake Shack’s growth across the region.

Bold Hospitality Company is a São Paulo-based hospitality company with longstanding ties to communities across Brazil through its restaurant operations. Their deep understanding of the local market, combined with a proven track record of delivering exceptional guest experiences, makes them an ideal partner to introduce Shake Shack to Brazil.

“As we continue to expand across Latin America, Brazil has long stood out as one of our most requested markets,” said Michael Kark, President of Global Licensing at Shake Shack. “Its passion for great food, lively culture, and meaningful hospitality makes it a natural fit for Shake Shack, and we’re excited to partner with Bold Hospitality Company to embark on this next chapter of growth. Together, we plan to develop 40 locations across Brazil by 2036, beginning with our first Shack in São Paulo in 2027, and look forward to serving communities across the country for years to come.”

“Shake Shack is one of the most admired brands in hospitality, and bringing it to Brazil marks an exciting new chapter for Bold Hospitality Company,” said Pierre Berenstein, CEO of Bold Hospitality Company. “Our companies share the same belief that great food and genuine hospitality create moments people remember. We are honored to partner with Shake Shack and to build this brand in Brazil with the care and long-term commitment it deserves.”

“Brazilian guests have been asking for Shake Shack for years, and we can’t wait to welcome them into our first Shack in São Paulo,” said Mauro Guardabassi, President of Shake Shack Brazil at Bold Hospitality Company. “Our focus is to deliver the authentic Shake Shack experience, from quality ingredients to warm hospitality, while celebrating the flavors, energy and culture that make Brazil unique.”

Guided by its purpose to Stand For Something Good®, Shake Shack will collaborate with local producers and purveyors in Brazil to deliver uplifting experiences rooted in quality ingredients, thoughtful hospitality, and community connection. Guests can expect Shake Shack favorites—including the ShackBurger®, Chicken Shack™, crinkle cut fries, and frozen custard—alongside a celebration of local flavors.
