Los Angeles, California Oct 27, 2026 (Issuewire.com) Blue Smoke Productions has announced that principal photography on The Chairman Series is nearing completion, marking a major milestone for the new unscripted series chronicling the real-world journey of building and launching a premium cigar brand for an international market.
Against the backdrop of the global cigar and luxury lifestyle industries, The Chairman Series follows the people, relationships and decisions behind the brand as an ambitious idea moves toward the marketplace. The series captures both the opportunities and challenges that emerge along the way, offering viewers access to the business and personalities behind the journey.
Executive Producer Damien Williams expressed enthusiasm as the production moves into its final stages.
Were excited to see this project come together and look forward to bringing it to market in 2027 after post-production is completed, said Williams. What weve captured goes beyond the product itself. Its a story about entrepreneurship, relationships and the passion required to take an ambitious idea and turn it into something real.
At the center of the series is Executive Producer and lead talent Thomas Darnell, whose effort to develop The Chairman into an international premium cigar brand provides the foundation for the story.
The Chairman is about much more than launching a cigar. Its about taking an idea rooted in craftsmanship, scarcity and luxury and trying to build it into a global brand. The series gives audiences a front-row seat to that process, including the relationships, decisions, challenges and unexpected turns that happen along the way.
Producer Renata Fajti, who has overseen the series states A cigar can be intriguing enough to draw you into a room. Tom makes you feel like you belong there. The Chairman is about so much more than building a cigar business. People see success and assume they know the story, but they dont see the losses, betrayals, and setbacks it took to get there.
Emmy Award-winning producer Jonathan Lee Smith was taped to serve as the Showrunner, helping shape the creative and production vision of the series as filming moves toward completion.
The Chairman Series is slated for release in 2027 following post-production.
